Craig is a Law Graduate, and an award-winning Paralegal, having scooped up awards for his Paralegal work. Craig has a background in Civil Litigation, CMS Tribunal Advocacy, Dispute Resolution and Family Law. Due to his diagnosis of Autism and ADHD and uses his knowledge of the Law with his unique view on strategy to resolve disputes. Craig is known in the legal community as a well establish Conciliator, Mediator and Professional McKenzie Friend.
Craig regularly appears as a Lay Advocate before the CMS Tribunals handling claims under the Child Support Act 1991. He is frequently instructed by clients in matters pertaining to Regulation 50 arguments as well as advising on mitigating claims against Litigants of undisclosed income. He is robust in his advice and has an excellent understanding of this niche area of Child Maintenance advocacy within the CMS Tribunals.
Craig has a diverse background as a Professional McKenzie Friend in assisting Litigants in Person representing themselves within the Family Court with Child Arrangement Orders, Child Abduction Orders, Domestic Abuse Orders, and Divorce Financial Remedies. He specialises in complex proceedings involving serious allegations of abuse including sexual, physical, emotional, financial, and coercive control.
Craig began his career in Family Law in 2019 as a Professional McKenzie Friend and a Freelance Paralegal. Since then he has assisted more than 500 clients with their Family Court proceedings. He has since been granted Rights of Audience in numerous Finding of Fact Hearings as well as in the Royal Court of Justice on matters pertaining to International Child Abduction. Craig is instructed frequently to assist Litigants within High Court proceedings and he will frequently appear before High Court Judges in the Royal Courts of Justice on matters relating to international relocation and contact.
Craig’s ethos to Family Law is to try and gain the best resolution possible for his clients whilst keeping his client's expectations realistic. Unlike most Family Law McKenzie Friends, Craig holds various qualifications in Family Law and is renowned for his style of preparation and robust advice in trying to resolve Family disputes.
Craig has a vast experience in Civil matters as a County Court Advocate and Paralegal in the Small Claims Court dealing with matters such as Money and Debt, Landlord and Tenant, Housing Disrepair, and Breach of Contract. He is frequently instructed as both a County Court Advocate and Lay Advocate with respect to Small Claims across England and Wales.
